When a helping hand is needed, 88 residents in the semi-private, pleasant, assisted living apartments receive uncompromised and accurate attention.

They enjoy delicious meals, social programs that keep minds and bodies active, and privacy as they wish. This is a New York State-licensed Medicaid or private pay program, situated in the region’s newest facility.

Professional health care workers oversee the administration of medications and therapies. They take note of nutritional intake and general physical indications and check on all residents who remain in their rooms. They are also on alert 24 hours a day for more acute health care needs.

Our Assisted Living program also respects the individual abilities of each resident. They may receive visitors, sponsor special events, attend enrichment classes, participate in group activities and outings and even sign themselves out for excursions with highly capable escorts.

For some, the cares and efforts of ordinary housekeeping are somewhat challenging. A fortunate few in our assisted living facility experience a new freedom as we at Norwegian Christian Home and Health Center are "Bound by Our Mission: To Care."
