To Dedicate Skilled Nursing
Facility November 24
BROOKLYN, New York – A newly constructed skilled
nursing facility will be dedicated in ceremonies scheduled for Sunday, November
24 at the Norwegian Christian Home and Health Center, 1270 – 67th
Street in Brooklyn.
Dignitaries invited to participate in the event include the Honorable Atle
Leikvoll, Consul General of Norway in New York, U.S. Congressman Vito Fosella,
State Senator Vincent Gentile, Assemblyman Peter J. Abbate, Jr. and New
York City Councilman Marty Golden.
According to board chairman George Jensen, the Norwegian Home has been operating
continuously for almost 100 years.
“We have fulfilled many purposes during our long history,” said
Mr. Jensen, “and in recent times we have been one of the few facilities
sanctioned by the State of New York for long-term residents. Now, with this
new capability, we expect to be a facility of choice for patients requiring
the very best in skilled nursing care.”
Following formal comments, there will be a tour of the new skilled nursing
facility and light refreshments.
